Automated image analysis diagnostic system
The project aims to develop a low-cost diagnostic kit - around 300 euros - in order to detect by image analysis on a biological sample some diseases of particular incidence in poor countries (tuberculosis, malaria, etc.). The system includes a Raspberry Pi nanocomputer where the image analysis will be implemented, a robust mechanical system made with a 3D printer and a suitable low-cost staining method.
