Objectives

The purpose of this module is the explanation and internship of the fundamental statistical tests in the descriptive analysis of variables, qualitative or quantitative, of epidemiological or clinical samples and of the numerical relationships between the variables that have been explored.

This course will have a special focus on the statistical software Stata.

Programme

1) Descriptive statistics.
2) Probability. Probability distributions.
3) Estimation and confidence intervals.
4) Hypothesis testing.
5) Comparison of proportions.
6) Student's t-test and Mann-Whitney U test.
7) Student's t-test for paired data and Willcoxon test.
8) ANOVA (one-way, Kruskal-Wallis, repeated measures, Friedman).
9) Correlation and linear regression.
