The Chair of language and Basque Culture of the University of Navarra and Etniker organise a workshop on the cultural heritage of Obanos.

The Chair of language and Basque Culture of the University of Navarra and Etniker organise next Saturday, the 7th, a workshop on the cultural heritage of Obanos. The lecture series will take place in the Casa de Cultura of the town.

The meeting will begin with a presentation at 10:45h. at position by Juan Ignacio Elorz, Mayor of Obanos, and Mª del Mar Larraza, Director of the Chair of language and Basque Culture. This will be followed by Mª Amor Beguiristain (Etniker), with a session entitled "Children's games in Obanos: games of yesteryear, play today"; and researcher Fernando Pérez de Laborda, who will talk about "Oiconimia obanesa".

At 12:30 p.m. there will be a visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fair Love of Arnotegui, which will include an explanation of the mural paintings at position by Professor Pedro Luis Lozano Uriz. and Javier Zubiaur, from Etniker. And in the afternoon, Roldán Jimeno, lecturer at the Public University of Navarre, will give a talk at lecture entitled "Characters and institutions of the Mystery of Obanos: history and fiction". The workshop will end with a guided tour of the Obanos Mystery Costumes visit .
