Individual tutoring on academic writing

A guidance service for students at Degree for the planning, essay and revision of their written work. | Under no circumstances doesit replace the director of academic papers with regard to any formal or content aspect of these. |

An interactive academic space in which the interested student works collaboratively with a tutor on various aspects related to the preparation of a text: search for bibliographic sources, planning, textual organisation, identification of grammatical or stylistic errors, procedures for quotation and much more. | Wedo not deal with queries via e-mail or proofread texts exclusively in writing. The effectiveness of the service depends on exchange of ideas. |

The student should fill in all the data of the fiche of application of the service, including the name of your academic advisor .

It will be attended during school periods according to the availability of the centre's staff .

tutorial of the first academic year
It aims to facilitate the transition between the previous stage and the university stage.

tutorial for the students of Degree
It guides the student in the organisation, essay and revision of academic papers and other written work specific to the university environment.

In this first stage of the Writing Centre's operation, tutorials will be aimed solely at first and second year students of School Philosophy and Letters.

Tutorials will have a maximum duration of 45 minutes and will be offered exclusively during term time.

The tutorials will be carried out virtually (through a previously agreed system of video calls) or face-to-face. Depending on the development of the current status , one modality or the other will be preferred.

In the case of virtual tutorials, the student will connect at least 5 minutes before the agreed time, in order to verify the correct functioning of the tool, as well as of the camera, microphone, etc.

No more than one quotation per week can be arranged, regardless of the modality (virtual or face-to-face).

The issue number of appointments per semester shall not exceed five tutorials. After the first quotation, the tutor will make a forecast of the necessary work sessions with the student.

Cancellation of the quotation must be communicated well in advance (at least one day before the session).

Absence from the session or delay in the agreed starting time will result in the suspension of the tutorials.
