The School of Communication of the University of Navarra is a benchmark in the defense of quality journalism. It firmly believes that independent, rigorous and ethically committed journalism is an essential pillar of democracy and the common good.

What do we propose with the new Degree?
NEW BET FOR teaching
The Study program of the new Degree proposes that the teaching of the journalisticinternship , with the corresponding production of content, be organized around the journalistic genres (news and chronicle, interview, report and opinion and criticism), which adopt the category of subject and which require the integration of teaching in different media within their content.
teaching internship UNIT
Intensive workshops with professionals who provide specific cutting-edge tools. An essay that will be located in the School itself and that implies a new way of work for students and faculty, as well as strengthening the commitment to in-depth journalism.
INTELLECTUAL training REINFORCEMENT
In order to broaden the knowledge of the world and consolidate the journalist's professional criteria, the development of humanistic training subjects has been expanded. In addition to the Core Curriculum , three new subjects will be added, dealing with the partner, legal-political and historical-cultural fields. In addition, new forms of active teaching will be introduced in these subjects, such as the inverted class , project-based learning or the case method.
INTERNATIONALIZATION
The student's international experience will take the form of a compulsory International Journalism subject with internationalfaculty ; practical exercises coordinated with teams of professors and students from other universities; and exchange programs.

Distinguish the functioning of the Public Communication and its psychological and social effects, as well as contemporary forms of public opinion training .
Express knowledge and ideas in a clear and precise manner through the diversity of languages and media.
Use information tools, digital technologies, data science and artificial intelligence to generate relevant news stories.
Interpret the historical evolution of the recent world, distinguishing anthropological, political, economic, social, environmental and cultural aspects that allow contextualizing information and have an impact on the practice of journalism.
Apply the knowledge acquired in the characterization and internship of written, visual, sound, audiovisual and digital languages to different areas of professional specialization .
Correct errors and manipulations made in the creative or organizational processes of editing or production and realization of information products.
Differentiate the legal and deontological system of information and communication.
To present the structure and functioning of the market and newspaper companies, their form of organization and direction, their management strategies, their systems of production, distribution and consumption of contents.

Journalist manager for the production and management of multimedia journalistic content. Artificial Intelligence and data analytics
Journalist with skills in data analysis and artificial intelligence applied to journalism. Includes the profile data analyst and consultant and developer of AI content for newsrooms and journalistic media.

Specialist in journalistic content analysis and management .
Journalist qualified to study and analyze communication phenomena and processes, develop advisory service tasks, process design , organization, content production and strategic development in journalistic companies, as well as to promote new journalistic initiatives. It includes the profiles of media analyst and audience analyst.
