2. business where you currently work and occupation: Since March 2024, work at OMIE (Iberian Electricity Market Operator) Spanish Pole at position as Institutional Relations Technician.
3. What does your day-to-day work at work space consist of?
In my current position at OMIE, I am manager in charge of analyzing the Iberian electricity market. My work ranges from collecting and processing data market data to reporting on industry trends and outlook. I work closely with internal and external teams to ensure market transparency and efficiency, and represent OMIE in forums and meetings with regulators and other entities.
4. What things did you learn in the PPE that you are currently being able to apply in your work space?
One of the greatest contributions of my training in PPE was the development of a solid ability to critically analyze global economic challenges and apply the knowledge acquired in real contexts. This skill has been fundamental to my professional performance, enabling me to identify opportunities and make informed decisions in a dynamic business environment.
5. Where would you like to direct your professional career in the coming years?
My time at OMIE allowed me to witness first-hand the profound transformation that the energy sector is undergoing. The experience gained in this field, especially in the electricity sector, has motivated me to actively contribute to the energy transition from a regulatory perspective. I aspire to guide companies towards a more sustainable future, where economic profitability is combined with social and environmental commitment.
6. What committee would you give to current PPE students?
That they are ambitious and curious, that they do not miss all the opportunities that the University offers and that they do not close themselves to any field. All companies are looking for professionals with the profile of a graduate in PPE: that they do not put limits on their professional degree program and find out how far they can go.
