ACTIVITIES

In addition to its work at professor, the department conductsresearch in research, innovation, and knowledge transfer, covering topics ranging from the molecular functioning of cells and the mechanisms of transmission, regulation, and expression of information Genetics to the study of microorganisms, parasites, and their interactions with host organisms, thereby promoting the development of new vaccines and therapies.

The department 's activities benefit from its integration into thebiomedical ecosystem of the University of Navarraand from the partnership with other centers and Structures of research, particularly the Cima University of Navarra and the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, as well as the participation of its researchers in collaborative initiatives such as the Navarre Institute for Health research s (IdiSNA) and national biomedical research networks such as CIBER.

training of students

This structure enables the creation of synergies, the optimization of resources, and the strengthening of cross-cutting lines of research and training . Likewise, the department contributes to the training of students at various stages of their academic careers, from programs of study in Degree and Master's Degree to training research at doctorate, actively participating in doctorate programs and in the supervision of thesis doctoral students. In this way, it contributes to the training of highly qualified professionals and the development of knowledge scientific talent capable of responding to current and future challenges in the fields of biomedicine and health.
