The structure and characteristics of the programme are as follows: 

Credits ECTS credit: 12 ECTS credit (300 hours in total), distributed between September 2022 and September 2023.

The expert degree scroll consists of 8 theoretical and practical modules and a final work degree scroll . The first five modules are common to all students and the last two are different depending on the chosen accredited specialization (accredited specialization in hematological neoplasms or accredited specialization in solid tumors). 

In total, the program consists of 12 ECTS credit (equivalent to 300 hours of work), distributed between September 2022 and September 2023. Each module consists of 1 ECTS credit, while the work end of degree scroll consists of 4 ECTS credit.

Each module begins with a face-to-face weekend (Friday from 16:00 to 21:00 hours and Saturday from 9:00 to 14:00 hours) in the Alumni Building at Campus in Madrid at the University of Navarra, which is intended for:  

1. 15 minutes of review of the activity from the online part of the previous module.   

2. Theoretical sessions: 6 hours.

3. Clinical cases/research seminars: 2 hours.

The attendance to 75% of the theoretical sessions is a prerequisite for obtaining the degree.

The online work of each module will have a duration of 15 hours. The online contents of the theoretical modules are posted on the Virtualclassroom accessible only to students at the beginning of each module. This content consists of videos, slide presentations, clinical cases, articles and reviews. The goal of this online content is to complement and accompany the personal work of the student to integrate the teachings given in the classroom sessions. This work of student will be guided by tutor through distance tutorials. The different teachers of the module will be accessible through the on-line platform for the resolution of doubts. At the end of the online work, the student will make a entrance to the module blog that will serve both the student and the teacher to evaluate the understanding of the online material, thus allowing the guided repetition by the teachers of the Materials that need to be reviewed.

On 1 September 2022, the final thesis (5 ECTS credit) consisting of writing a research paper project for a national agency will be delivered. This work will include a literature review of the current state of topic, hypotheses, objectives, Materials and methods, work plan and budget. This work will be led by a tutor assigned/chosen at the beginning of the course. All lecturers of the degree will offer themselves as tutors and students will choose three lecturers as tutor in order of preference. The maximum number of students per tutor will be three. Course directors will assign students to tutors according to the preferences of student. Each paper will be reviewed by three teachers and the grade will be the average of the assessment indicated by each of them.

The grade will be communicated to the students through the Academic Management page on 9 September 2022, with a deadline of 12 September 2022 for possible complaints.

On 23 September 2022, the expert degree will be closed with an academic event* in the Alumni Building, postgraduate program headquarters of the University in Madrid, which will be attended by a figure of recognised prestige in the field of Immuno-Oncology. submission After his lecture, the title will be awarded to the students who have completed the required requirements .
