The Master's Degree in training Permanent in design Galenic and Manufacturing in the Pharmaceutical Industry consists of four modules with the corresponding subjects and subjects, completing a total of 90 ECTS credit (20 of theoretical classes + 65 of practices + 5 of work end of Master's Degree) that are developed during 16 months.
Modules
- goal: To provide the student with a complete theoretical basis of each of the phases that make up the industrial scale galenic development of a drug, from its design to its manufacture.
- Plan of work: Sessions of work that are supported with audio-visual means. The student is provided with both general bibliography and specific reviews on the topics deemed appropriate. With the goal that the student actively participates in his own training, time is dedicated to the discussion and resolution of practical cases related to the theoretical knowledge under study, maintaining at all times a close communication between speaker and student.

- goal: To acquire specific practical knowledge for the development of all the stages involved in the design and manufacture of drugs in a pharmaceutical industry.
- Plan of work: Students, divided into small groups, rotate through the areas that comprise the drug manufacturing process: design and development galenic, conventional and biotechnological drug development, quality control and quality assurance.

Pilot scale practices |
- goal: To introduce and integrate student in the professional activity of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Plan of work: starting in April, the student performs professional internships in the pharmaceutical industry, where he/she will put in internship and perfect the knowledge acquired in the School. These internships are in accordance with agreement of each of the pharmaceutical laboratories that offer positions.
At the end of the internship, the student must submit a report of the activities carried out. This report is supervised by the tutor assigned in the business and must respect the confidentiality contract signed. 100% of the internships managed in recent years have been remunerated.

- goal: Elaboration, presentation and defense of an original project before a court.
- Plan of work: The student carries out a project directed by a tutor in the business and/or an academic tutor , who carry out a precise follow-up of the needs of the student and of its performance.
The public defense of the results obtained is carried out in English before a court appointed for this purpose.

Students complement their theoretical training internship through:
The Master's promotes and facilitates the attendance of student to the various activities programmed and taught by experts from the Pharmaceutical Industry and the Administration who come as guests to the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition.
The student makes numerous visits to pharmaceutical laboratories distributed in different parts of Spain, where he observes in situ the theoretical/practical knowledge acquired in the School.
