Donations
and scholarships
The University of Navarra is a non-profit organization. Proceeds from student tuition are used for regular teaching . But student scholarships, new facilities and research are funded through donations from individuals and institutions. Your generosity allows us to carry out our mission statement: to serve truth and society.
"Institutions with friends are stronger, they go further. A friend can be defined as the one who financial aid us to go further than we could do alone."
María Iraburu, president

How funds are raised
The funds from donations that the University of Navarra applies to its activities are obtained in two ways:
1) Donations received for expense current
2) Income from donations that have gone to endowments
Endowment, a guarantee for the future.
The endowment is a portfolio of financial assets, financed mainly by donations, which is used to sustain part of the university's activity on a stable basis. The returns are used for two purposes: to provide an annual amount to the university's regular budget and to recapitalize the endowment to maintain its purchasing power. The endowment includes various funds that can be general funds or have a pre-assigned activity to finance (scholarships, research, museum, Chairs, etc.) according to the donor's wishes (modalized).
