The “ report ” presented here takes stock of the 2025/26 academic year, highlighting the scope of our educational professor, research, and healthcare activities. It has been an academic year marked by milestones such as the accreditation of the Cima as a Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence and the start of construction on the BIOMA Center, which will serve as a new space for meeting between the University and the community. These are data and achievements that confirm that the University of Navarra remains vibrant, giving rise to initiatives that address the challenges of our society and opportunities for partnership with many organizations. Behind these figures and indicators lies something that is difficult to quantify: the commitment and professionalism of the people who make up the University of Navarra’s project . Among the figures presented here, I would like to make special mention of the financial aid received this academic year—including donations—which is making it possible for students without financial resources to access a university Education . Thousands of organizations and individuals continue to accompany and support us in the daily endeavor of shaping the University of Navarra in all its many facets. To them we extend our gratitude and our hope to remain worthy of the trust they have placed in us, so that we may reach more people and serve them better.

Strategy 2025–2030: Talent, research , and Social Commitment
president María Iraburupresented the 2025–2030 Strategy, which will serve as the University’s roadmap through that date and is based on three pillars: talent, research , and commitment. As part of this process, the University has launched the25–30 Meetings, open forums for dialogue designed to share progress, connect initiatives, and collaboratively shape the strategy.
Cima, Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence
Cima t the University of Navarra was awarded the accreditation as Severo Ochoa Center of Excellenceresearch—the highest recognition granted by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities to Spanish centers that stand out internationally for their research results. The distinction, valid for four years, comes with a grant of nearly six million euros (4.5 M€ for strategic initiatives and 1.3 M€ for pre-doctoral research staff ).
1st university in Spain according to the CYD ranking
The university ranked as the top Spanish university in the CYD ranking (knowledge and development): first in international outreach, second in teaching and in research, and third in technology transfer knowledge.
Ten Years of Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Innovation Factory celebrated its 10th anniversary. Since its founding in 2019, the center has incubated 16 portfolio companies, worked on 744 student projects, and supported more than 5,400 students through training sessions and initiatives.

A team from the University led an internationalresearch that identified a natural tendency to walk to the left, regardless of culture or social context. The study was published in *Nature* and made the front page of *The New York Times*.
Oncovirus for Pediatric Brain Tumors
Clínica Universidad de Navarra 's Cancer Center (CCUN) launched a pioneering clinical essay that aims to reverse the poor prognosis of pediatric brain tumors using oncolytic viruses. This cutting-edge line of research in pediatric oncology ranks the Clinic among the leading reference letter centersin this field.
Bioma, a point of c meeting s with the city
The University of Navarra began construction of the “ BIOMA Center,”a building spanning more than 20,000 m² that will house “ teaching,” the “ research ” of the BIOMA Institute, the Science Museum, and the “Innovation Factory” entrepreneurship center. Designed to serve as a link between the “ campus ” of Sciences, the “ ” of Social Sciences, “ Humanities ,” and the MUN, the “ project ” will also create a new point of “ meeting ” between the University and the city.
The University, a member of the advisor forum on artificial intelligence
The University joined as a member of the European Union’s “ advisor ” forum on artificial intelligence, in recognition of its role in the analysis and development manager of this technology.
