One edition,
a graduation

Speeches of the event

JULIA PAVÓN
Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences
"Saint Josemaría wanted this university to be open to everyone—open to learning, knowledge hard work. And he wanted that learning to be independent of each person’s age and circumstances. This truth takes on special significance today, more than ever, in this auditorium. You are a clear and unmistakable demonstration of the desire to learn—and that desire has no expiration date."
RAFAEL ESCOBEDO
coordinator of the Senior Program
"This course is coming to an end—it was my first. It has given me the opportunity to experience the day-to-day workings of this wonderful initiative at our university and to see that a passion for learning knows no age limits. Thank you to the students for your patience and advice, and for making this journey of learning so easy and enjoyable."
JUAN BALENCIAGA
Farewell as manager
"Every Tuesday and Thursday, there are 82 of you here who have decided to keep learning about all sorts of things. That’s another wonderful aspect of this program: the sheer number of new things we can share after wrapping up a year with 33 different topics. All of this brings together a very diverse group of people, united by a single word: curiosity."
RICARDO FERNÁNDEZ
patron of the graduating class
"You should share your experiences from this course with your neighbors, friends, and family... Let them know how much you enjoyed it. I assure you that it will be good for the people you tell, for you, and for the University."
MARÍA EUGENIA IZU
Promotions Representative
"On the first day, they gathered all the new students together. I met a really nice group people, and I've made some good friends among them. When I got to class the rest of my classmates. They were all repeat students... What is it about these courses that makes so many students take them again?"
