Competition training

→ In doubles there is a golden point (when reaching Deuce a point is played to decide the game, the receiver chooses which side to serve to)

Ranking 3 Trophy
→ Among the players of each group agree on the schedule of the match.
Features:
→ Mixed category.
→ The goal is that each participant plays against those of their level.
→ Matches are to 6 games. With 5-5 a tie-break is played to 7 points.
→ It is a league with groups of 3 players.
→ The one who achieves the best results in the round moves up, the one who achieves the worst moves down and the other one stays on.
→ 5 to 6 rounds are played (10-12 matches)

→ Having fun with friends and with a racquet in hand.
Features:
→ Mixed category.
→ It is not necessary to have a specific level.
→ The goal is to have fun and have a good time.
→ We try to organize groups with as similar levels as possible.
→ 2 or 3 couples per court play CINCOS matches.
→ CINCOS: played in pairs. Matches to five points. To win a point it is necessary to win the two points of the series. With four players on court they face each other in a parallel match (corridors are valid). At the end of one of the points, a doubles is played with the other ball still in play.

The University of Navarra tennis team began competing in 2015. Since then it has competed in 3 Navarre Championship by teams, Basque Navarre Riojano Cantabrian Championship by teams and in the Spanish University Championships. In the different tournaments it has achieved promotions in male, female and mixed categories.

How do I enter the competition?
Access to the competition team is by ranking or by level. The goal of the competition team is to compete at regional level and it is necessary to have competed in tennis before.
Do you get credit ECTS credit for being on the team?
Yes, the University of Navarra offers credits to UNAV students for being part of the competition team.
One credit ECTS credit (electives) per academic year up to a maximum of 3 credits ECTS credit per Degree.
What are the training schedules?
- One hour each day of training.
- Tuesday and Wednesday between 19:30 and 22:30.
