- competition of Poetry in Basque (since 1996) and competition of Short Stories in Basque (since 2009) of the University of Navarra, organised by the Service of Cultural Activities Office.

- In 2008, the digital magazine "Gernika" was created in Moscow. María Amor Beguiristain publishes in the first issue a article about her excavations in the dolmen of Aitzibita (http://www.gernika.ru/20081).

- competition "Escribe un relato histórico": Held for 5 editions, from 2002 to 2006, with the modality, among others, "Relato en euskera".

- In 2004, the 40th anniversary of the Chair of language and Basque Culture was celebrated. The following speakers took part in the commemorative event:
