Economics circular: waste that becomes a resource
Each citizen generates almost average ton of waste per year, the vast majority of which is collected as mixed waste, which prevents its proper subsequent use as reusable or recyclable resource . The objectives of reuse and recycling established by the ambitious rules and regulations of waste to which the local public entities are obliged require the protagonism and the necessary partnership and citizen participation through selective collection. Only in this way will it be possible to achieve the circular Economics consisting of turning waste into resources.
Why and how the measures necessary to achieve these objectives are carried out and their environmental, economic and social benefits are discussed in this session.

Preparing cities for climate change
The adaptation of urban centers to climate change cannot be tackled from a single point of view, since the implications are technical, but also social and economic.
To solve this complexity, one of the tools available is the Spanish Urban diary , which contains numerous parameters of work so that administrations, companies and citizens can face this challenge.
In addition, it is undeniable that successful experiences from the past can contribute to the needs of the future.
This is the context in which a workshop is proposed, in which the vision of a Ministry, a City Council and the experience of the professionals involved can explain to citizens the set of problems to be solved.
