I decided to contribute to Alumni Scholarships because the Program gave me the opportunity to receive an education that I could not find anywhere else and that formed me in academic, personal, professional, and spiritual dimensions. I am often asked, "What drives you to do research every day? My answer is clear and immediate: I come here every day with the intention of finding new therapies against such lethal cancers as lung and pancreatic cancer. My hope would be that at least one patient would benefit from the results of my group from research. Our work is partly possible thanks to the commitment of individuals who donate their bequest or create grants such as the scholarship María Eugenia Burgos de la Iglesia, in favor of the research in pancreatic cancer. ".
