The Degree in Applied Management is structured in four main areas of knowledge and study: management of the business and Organizations, Communication and Languages, Digital Tools of management and Core Curriculum. During the degree program, students also delve into other important subjects within the business such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Logistics, International Trade or Law.

In total, the Degree in Applied Management consists of 240 ECTS credit which are distributed in four academic years. Each year 60 ECTS credit are completed through the study of Core, Compulsory and Elective subjects and the work End of Degree.

Study Program

The module of business of the Degree in Applied Management is divided into the three subjects detailed below. These subjects, in turn, are specified in the subjects that can be consulted in the table 'Subjects' and that total 111 of the 240 ECTS credit of the degree program.

I. business and Environment. It focuses on the study of the structure and functioning of the business at a strategic, tactical and operational level, as well as on the detailed analysis of the functioning of the markets in which a business develops its activity. Throughout the Degree, the student takes contact with the necessary tools to carry out their work in any organisation and develops skills related to data analysis, information technologies and project management.

II. Law. The student acquires the necessary knowledge to understand the fundamentals of law and current legislation in relation to the activity of companies and organizations. Throughout the Degree in management - Bachelor in Applied Management, students delve into issues of labor law, financial law and Commercial Law.

III. Accounting and Finance. The knowledge that forms the basis for the accounting and financial management in any subject organization is studied. The contents of this subject cover the fundamentals of accounting, analysis of accounting and financial information and financialmanagement . Among others, the objectives of this subject are that students acquire a basic and general level of accounting knowledge, handling the most relevant accounting concepts, apply the accounting principles and rules of evaluation of the General Accounting Plan in any subject organization and analyze, or prepare for subsequent analysis, the relevant accounting and financial information derived therefrom.

The module of Communication and Modern Languages of the Degree in Applied Management is divided into the two subjects detailed below. These subjects, in turn, are divided into the subjects that can be consulted in the table 'Subjects' and that total 81 of the 240 ECTS credit of the degree program.

I. Communication in Organizations. The student acquires the theoretical and practical foundations to achieve effective communication in the organization, internally and externally, in international and intercultural contexts. To achieve this, during the Degree in Applied Management the student is provided with the necessary tools to be able to perform effectively in any communicative status , especially in the business context. The contents of this subject cover oral and written communication applied to the business context, corporate communication, the protocol and intercultural communication.

II. Communication in Modern Languages. In this subject, the student acquires the necessary competences to use flexibly and effectively, for social and professional purposes, at least two languages other than his/her mother tongue language . These languages can be chosen, for example, from English, French or German. Given the nature of this subject, and in order for students to be able to reach at least an advanced level in one of the chosen languages and an intermediate level in the other, all credits are taught in the languages of the student's choice student .

The module of electives of the Degree in Applied Management has a load of 24 ECTS credit that are concentrated in the second semester of the fourth year, last of the degree program. Students can fill in these elective credits by completing an internship or an academic exchange .

I. External Internships. This subject offers students the possibility of carrying out an internship supervised internship in a national or international organisation. During this curricular internship, the student has the opportunity to analyse and study specific issues of the sector to which the business belongs and is integrated into the organisation, assuming the responsibility, always under supervision, that is entrusted to him/her. The main purpose of this subject, which is taught in the official language of the business, is for students to know how to apply the knowledge, skills and competences acquired during the degree to the real practice of the labour market.

Degree Students who undertake curricular internships and who identify, analyse and propose improvements to a process specific to the business internship can obtain a Diploma Internship in Process Management / Internship in Process Management. 

II. Academic Exchange. The training elective subject of Degree can also be fill in through an academic exchange with one of the dozens of universities, national or international, with which ISSA School of Applied Management has agreements. In addition to adapting to new teaching and learning contexts and working in multicultural teams, the academic exchange is designed to allow students to deepen and perfect their second and/or third language.

Through this academic exchange and the completion of the TFG, students can specialise and fill in one of the following diplomas:

  1. Diploma in Logistics Management / Logistics Management.
  2. Diploma in Human Resources Management / Human Resources Management.
  3. Diploma in Event Management / Event Management.
  4. Diploma in Fashion Business Management / Fashion Business Management.
  5. Diploma in Sports Management.
  6. Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Services / Services Tourism and Hospitality.
     

The module work End of Degree (TFG) has a load of 6 ECTS credit and is carried out in the last semester of degree program. Its purpose is to enable students to recapitulate and integrate much of the knowledge acquired throughout Degree by identifying and solving a real problem in a business or organization.

The student must thoroughly analyze a process, develop proposals to improve the efficiency of the process and, ultimately written request, defend the dissertation before a panel of professionals. The work can be done in any of the languages studied by the student during the Degree, although the summary must be presented in both Spanish and English.

The module Core Curriculum has a load of 18 ECTS credit that are completed throughout the entire degree program and that are specified in cross-cutting subjects such as Anthropology, Ethics or Cultural Keys, among others. The aim is to offer students a humanistic Education , to foster a spirit of solidarity, as well as to develop the critical capacity to freely form one's own convictions. Likewise, the goal of module is that the student acquires the necessary competencies to develop harmoniously the components of the personality and can proceed with ethical criteria, fundamentally in the professional exercise.
