Two sisters together at the Games

Only three sportsmen and women from Navarre took part in Beijing. The González sisters, Bárbara and Lara, were part of the Rhythmic Gymnastics team and Xabi Fernández, who with his team-mate Iker Martínez won the silver medal in the 49er class .

Sandra Gómez in Swimming, Santiago Pesquera in Boccia and Laura García Benitez in Judo were the three Navarrese athletes who participated in the Paralympic Games in Beijing.
