01 / WHAT DO WE OFFER IN ARCHERY?
The UNAV Archery Club has anArchery School ( training )and ateamthat competes throughout Spain and represents the University in every competition. The school’s goal is for students to practice archeryand develop the skills specific to this sport.
By being part of the School, students are also members of the Club, which offers improvement courses and social Shooting with other clubs that favors a climate of friendship and sport.

02 / ARCHERY CLUB
The Club has more than 200 members. It offers the possibility of training in the schedules of the sports facilities. It has a conference room, an outdoor shooting range and a 3D field.
They have the support of the team of coaches to advance in their internship. The conference room has a workshop for repairing equipment that breaks down.
Archery has the characteristic that in order to practice it is mandatory to be federated so all members of the Club are part of the federated club.
Within the Club's activities, members are offered improvement courses, social shooting with other clubs, creating an atmosphere of family and sport.
The club offersintroductory coursesfor people who want to begin their archery internship . During the 26-27 course, there will be three sessions—one each month on the following dates—with the following schedule.

Price:
→ 100 euros per course
→ 80 euros for university employees
Upon completion of the course, participants receive the certificate “ certificate ” from aptitude , which is required to obtain the federation-issued “ licence ” certification—a mandatory requirement for the “ internship ” archery competition. All participants who complete the course are invited to become partner of the Club.
03 / OTHER ACTIVITIES
We organize activities for the university community:
→ conference open house
→ "Baptisms" of arrows for 10 or 12 people.
Aimed at closed groups of the Schools, university services, senior high schools. This activity lasts approximately 2 hours. The basic concepts of safety and the initial technique to shoot a few arrows are taught. The goal that young university students are encouraged to participate in the School and that University employees are encouraged to get started in this sport.

This activity is designed for people who have had breast cancer. Archery is beneficial for their recovery. Participants follow a specific introductory course and join the team that trains once a week. This team competes in the “National Archery and Health Trophy,” held in February for the conference room season and between May and June for the outdoor season. 04 / TEAM
All members of the Archery Club are part of the federated team. The federative licence is mandatory for the internship of this sport and its cost (70 euros) is apart from the partner fee and is processed through the Club. Some of the federated athletes participate in regional, national and, in some cases, international competitions.

They are the same as at the regional level: conference room, Open Air, 3D and Field. In these competitions some members of the club/federated team/schools participate because the Navarra Federation selects them for having obtained the necessary marks and having made the podium and in others they participate because they sign up directly.

DO I NEED TO BUY THE MATERIALS?
At the beginning it is not necessary. The Archery Club has material available for those who do not have a bow and protective equipment. However, it is advisable to acquire one as you advance in the internship.

DO YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD TO MAKE THE TEAM?
No. The school will teach students what they need to be good at the sport and be able to compete.

DO THEY GIVE CREDIT FOR BEING A CLUB MEMBER?
Yes, the University of Navarra offers credits to UNAV students for being part of the archery team or for participating in the Archery School (attendance , minimum 35 hours/academic year). A credit ECTS credit (elective courses) through academic year , up to a maximum of 3 credits ECTS credit via Degree. Credits earned ECTS credit cannot be combined (school and team).
