The University of Navarra is a Christian-inspired, non-profit university, founded in 1952 by St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, founder of Opus Dei. Its mission statement is to seek and transmit the truth; to contribute to the academic, cultural and staff training of its students; to promote scientific research and welfare activities; to offer adequate development opportunities to its professors and employees; and to carry out a wide range of cultural extension and social promotion activities, with a clear purpose of service.
The University of Navarra occupies very prominent positions in international rankings of professor quality and employability.
IESE Business School is the University's business school. Founded in 1958, it launched the first two-year MBA program in Europe in Barcelona. It also has campus in Madrid, Munich, New York and Sao Paulo.
The University created in 1962 the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, an academic hospital with sites in Pamplona and Madrid. It specializes in research and attendance in highly complex diseases. It has been distinguished on numerous occasions as the private hospital with the best reputation in Spain.
Since its inauguration in 2015, the Museo Universidad de Navarra has been promoting art, research, Education and the dissemination of the most varied artistic and cultural expressions.
The University of Navarra has promoted research centers in applied medicine, nutrition, technology, big data, biodiversity, social sciences and Humanities.
