The Goethe exam is an official certification of skill at language German, internationally recognized and adapted to the levels of the framework Common European Framework of Reference reference letter for Languages. It assesses listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.

The institute of modern languages offers preparation courses for the Goethe exam, although it does not administer the exam.
