The Center of programs of study Josemaría Escrivá (CEJE) began its work in 1995. A few years later, on June 26, 2002, Msgr. Javier Echevarría, Chancellor of the University of Navarra, established its dependence on the St. Josemaría Escrivá Historical Institute (ISJE), based in Rome, for scientific tasks and research, and on the University of Navarra for organizational, labor and administrative aspects.
The Centre for Josemaría Escrivá Studies (CEJE) is a Section of the St Josemaria Escriva Historical Institute (ISJE).
Since its creation, the main objectives of the CEJE have been:

It maintains an exhaustivebibliographic collection of the published works of Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, as well as scientific publications on his person and on Opus Dei.

It offers specialized bibliographic information to researchers.

Provide guidance to researchers for programs of study on St. Josemaría and Opus Dei.

promote research, particularly in the historical field, on the figure of St. Josemaría and Opus Dei.
