Universitas is conceived as a process of reflection and improvement of project that the University offers its Degree students.

In addition to the necessary professional and scientific knowledge, it is important for students to develop the qualities that will make them responsible citizens—with depth of thought, a critical spirit, and an international perspective—who are capable of viewing their work a service to others.

Each school at the University of Navarra prepares a document that explicitly describes, for each of its Degree programs, both the professional identity of its graduates and the model designed to achieve it.

What is professional identity?

At the heart of project the concept of professional identity: the set of knowledge, attitudes, values, and qualities specific to a professional field that shape a person. It is not merely a matter of technical ability, but rather a way of being in the world that integrates three inseparable dimensions:

Qué es el módelo de aprendizaje

What is the model ?

The model is the set of all actions and strategies (both formal and informal) designed to help students achieve the professional identity defined in their Degree. It integrates two perspectives in a coordinated manner:

Student-centered
Learning Processes
How do our students learn?
They take into account each student’s actual profile and their capacity for self-regulation: the skill plan, monitor, and adjust their own learning, which is the foundation of lifelong learning.
Focused on the faculty
teaching Processes
How do we teach?
They are structured around the faculty educational leadership, the design instructional and assessment activities, and teaching and coordinated teaching throughout the Study program.
The link between the two processes
Learning Outcomes

Clear and measurable learning objectives that describe what students are expected to know, understand, and be able to do upon completing each stage of their training.

Without a model , educational practices run the risk of becoming inconsistent and failing to contribute effectively to development the three dimensions of being, knowing, and doing.

The Universitas Commission is composed of members from the teaching Planning and Improvement Office and the Core Curriculum Institute. Its mission statement work promote framework work drives the definition and implementation of professional identity and learning models in each Degree the University.
