"The happiness that the children reflected was captivating and contagious, which made me feel very full. However, on the other hand, I was finding it hard to feel useful, I had so many expectations to change the world that I found it increasingly difficult. Until one day my head clicked and I realized that that was not what my mission statement was about. It was very pretentious to think that I could change Tondo (Philippines). My job was to accompany, to give my time and love to the people around me. They might lack material goods, but in love and laughter no one could beat them".
