The Degree in Biochemistry is aimed at students with a background preferably in Science or Health Sciences, with a basic knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

This Degree is for you if you have...

Ability to work, interest B in subjects related to biochemistry and biomedical sciences, taste for research and work at laboratory, observation skills, capacity for analysis and synthesis, creativity applied to science, entrepreneurial spirit, some command of English language .

If you are studying in a country outside the European Union, in addition to the above tests, we will also carry out an assessment of professional competences. For students with special needs, the University offers you the possibility to take a Unit for the Care of People with Disabilities (UADP).

Before entering university

Before taking Biochemistry you should know that

The goal of these subjects is that students can start a Degree in the bio-health, science or technical area having acquired the necessary basic knowledge in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.  

The subjects will be taught from January to May so that they can be taken by international students with a southern study calendar or by students who have progressed through the first semester in learning Spanish.  

Although basic contents are included, these subjects are not specifically designed to prepare for the Admissions Officeexams in the different degrees. It is advisable to consult the content of these subjects on the website of the Service Admissions Office.

Due to their introductory nature, these subjects cannot be validated if student decides to take Degree at the University of Navarra.

These subjects are part of the International Foundation Program.

Introductory Subjects (Not valid)

As Mathematics and Physics are the two first-year subjects of great importance to establish the instructions of future scientists, the School of Sciences offers its prospective students the syllabus that is considered necessary to have reviewed before starting the first year to face these two subjects successfully.

The School of Science recommends starting Degree with a laptop.

Apply for admission to the Portal miUNAV.


Take the admission tests.


Once the test is finished, we will make a weighted average of your grade of 1st year of high school diploma (60%) and our test of Admissions Office (40%). The committee of Admissions Office of the School will solve your application.


We will inform you in the portal miUNAV of the status of your application for admission.


Once you have been admitted you can proceed to pay your enrollment. Find out about the UNAV payment methods.



On the day of the admission test an Information and Open Doors workshop of the School of Sciences will be held in parallel, aimed at mothers, fathers and accompanying persons of the applicants to the Degrees and double Degrees.

The test for admission consists of two parts:

1) Academic part. General knowledge of the high school diploma through 60 questions subject test. Biology (20), Chemistry (20) and Mathematics (20).

2) English. Questions subject test to assess the applicant's knowledge and level of English. It is particularly relevant for students applying to:
