volunteer activities

Many of the research projects carried out at BIOMA require the participation of volunteers. We aim to achieve a community of people involved in the exploration, knowledge and defense of nature, with a spirit of partnership and willing to work in coordination with the academic community.

In addition to being a mainstay for citizen science projects, volunteer activities is also an excellent opportunity to meet other people and connect with the local community.

BIOMA volunteers must be at least 18 years old and it is not necessary to have a previous scientific training .

Depending on the activities and projects of high school , volunteer activities positions will be offered throughout the year with different Degrees commitments. Those interested in joining volunteer activities should fill in the application on-line. Each application will be reviewed along with the skills and requirements for the volunteer position and if selected we will contact you directly for an interview.

Possible activities for volunteers include:

• Participation in activities of Education environmental

• Involvement in citizen science projects

• management and maintenance of scientific collections

• Support for special events related to the environment

• Carrying out field activities (sampling, observation)

• Digitalization of data environmental and biodiversity
