This area of research adopts a humanistic approach to explore the interactions between the environment, nature and the human experience. Focused on a holistic understanding, it examines both the physical and biological aspects of nature and its intrinsic value and interrelationship with humans. The goal is to understand how natural reality, including human reality, coexists and interconnects with the environment in an ecological, landscape, social, cultural, material and spiritual context. It emphasizes the importance of conserving nature, recognizing its influence on human culture and spirituality, seeking harmony between nature and culture, and addressing conflicts in this relationship through solutions that integrate both environmental and cultural aspects.

ENVIRONMENT AND HUMANITIES

This line of research is situated at the intersection of environment and Humanities, exploring how environmental issues are intertwined with culture, history, Philosophy and art. It focuses on analyzing the relationship between humans and their environment, addressing how our cultural perceptions, representations, and values influence the way we interact with the environment. This line promotes a more holistic understanding of environmental problems, recognizing the importance of socio-cultural aspects in the formulation of sustainable policies and practices. Through this interdisciplinary approach , it seeks to inspire a change in human perception and behavior towards greater respect and care for the natural world.

SCIENCE DIDACTICS

Science Didactics focuses on experimental science, emphasizing hands-on learning for a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. This methodology places special emphasis on the attitudes and challenges facing science in primary Education , as well as concentrating on the training of newly graduated teachers, equipping them with essential tools for effective and engaging science teaching . Dialogic learning in science fosters interaction and critical discussion , while studying in natural environments allows students to connect directly with their surroundings, enriching their educational experience. On the other hand, the Whole School Approach approach integrates science teaching into all facets of Education, promoting a global and cohesive appreciation of science.

RESEARCH IN SCIENCE COMMUNICATION

The research in Science Communication is dedicated to identifying and developing innovative and effective narrative elements for the scientific knowledge dissemination . Its main goal is to facilitate the transmission of complex scientific concepts in ways that are not only understandable, but also appealing to a diverse and broad audience. This line of research places special emphasis on discovering and experimenting with alternative methods of communication, particularly with regard to critical and topical environmental issues. The goal is to create narratives that not only inform, but also engage and sensitize the general public on environmental issues, fostering a more inclusive and comprehensive dialogue on highly relevant scientific and environmental topics.
