With this Master's Degree you will learn about finance, marketing, accounting and operations at business from university professors, business school professors and professionals from pharmaceutical companies. You will also learn how to work, with a critical spirit, in the areas of management in the pharma-biotech industry and other related industries, while developing communication skills, work in teams and Personnel Management Service.
Paid internships
Our students do their internships once they have completed their courses, which allows them to apply all their knowledge and skills in such a way that they are able to add value from the very beginning. These internships facilitate subsequent integration into the industry. In addition, the Internship Service and employment are at the disposal of all our students to accompany and guide them to a successful professional insertion.

The highly qualified faculty of the Master's Degree and the teaching methodologies employed will help you to respond to real problems with an exhaustive analysis of the facts and proposal of solutions and alternatives. In order to get the most out of it, you will be required to work individually and then in a team before attend the class discussion led by the professor. The program is 100% in-person at the University of Navarra’s Madrid Campus and requires a full-time commitment full-time. It lasts one and a half academic years and is structured as follows: an academic teaching (from September to February), a company internship (beginning in February), and the defense of the work End of Master's Degree (in December of the following academic year).
This Master's Degree is intended exclusively for graduates in the field of health and life sciences (such as Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry , Medicine, or Chemistry). No prior knowledge of Economics or business is required, as the program is specifically designed to use IESE’s case-based methodology to equip these scientific professionals with all the skills, tools, and knowledge necessary in the disciplines of management, business, and corporate leadership as they apply to the pharma-biotech sector.
Internships at companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries are part of the curriculum and can be completed both in Spain and abroad. They take place once you have completed the program’s theoretical courses, ensuring that you have the necessary knowledge to add real value in a corporate setting from day one. In addition, you’ll have the support of the University’s Internship Service and employment to guide you at selection process and employment rate.
Yes, the pharma-biotech and medtech sector is global by nature, and much of the academic material, case studies, and lectures are available at language. Therefore, candidates are required to demonstrate an advanced level of English during the admissions process to ensure they get the most out of the program.
