The surveys help the University to improve through active listening. Each year, students rate different aspects through a questionnaire and provide ideas and suggestions for further progress.
The following are some of the improvements that have been made in different areas.
COMPASS
Health and wellness
The University seeks to enable students to combine their studies with a healthy lifestyle. In order to promote integral health care and generate resources for training and self-care, at the beginning of last year the Vice-Rector's Office for Students promoted the Guidance and Wellness Unit.
Under the name "Compass", this service offers students personalized counseling, advice and guides from financial aid to achieve integral growth; psycho-educational workshops on a variety of topics, including self-esteem and personality, addictions, management of time, or anxiety control; in addition to supporting the mentor in their task of accompanying the student.
FREE SERVICE AND NEW MACHINES
Reprography
Students, professors, researchers and other University professionals have self-service machines for photocopying, printing and scanning. In all of them, from the 2022-23 academic year, the digitalization service is free of charge for students. In addition, the possibility of printing from mobile devices.
On the other hand, in order to reinforce demand and in response to some suggestions, new copy center machines have been installed at Hexagon Building, Central Building and School of Architecture. The latter has a new provider specialized in Architecture to adapt to the needs of users.
The sustainability is one of the lines of the University's Strategy 2025. To offset the CO2 emissions produced by the use of the machines at copy center, more trees have been planted at campus.
MORE SUPPLY AND LESS WASTE
cafeteria and vending machines
The provider cafeterias have maintained the prices of their products. On the other hand, in order to reduce food wastage, from this course, at the end of the day, users can at a reduced price the cafeterias' surplus at a reduced price through the "Too good to go" app.
In addition, the cafeterias at campus in Pamplona and San Sebastián have added vegan and vegetarian dishes to their offerings. The offer of the cafeteria of the School of Architecture has also been modified and its terrace has been enlarged.
To communicate these and other news to students, as well as special offers for users, as of this academic year Sodexo, the provider of the University's catering service, has a new Instagram account.
SCHEDULE AND EQUIPMENT
IT services
This year, IT Services has participated in the Welcome conference to present its services to new students and solve doubts and possible technical problems. In this sense, we have also increased the number of hours of attention to students, both at the information points and by e-mail, at the request of some students.
With respect to computer equipment in the classrooms, those in which comments were recurrent have been reviewed. Likewise, the audiovisual material in some classrooms has been improved. In addition, IT Services has carried out a wifi study to detect those classrooms where a higher density of connections is needed. In this regard, an improvement plan will be carried out during the current academic year. In addition, in San Sebastian, wifi coverage has been extended in the Ibaeta and Miramon buildings.
