The First Atlas of Psychotherapy in Latin America
WE ARE LOOKING FOR MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS INTERESTED IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF PSYCHOTHERAPY
The project create the First report American report on the psychotherapy in the region, where the current status this field varies greatly among the member countries. Our goal to provide a comparative analysis of training, quality, and access, to strengthen mental health standards and policies. We view psychotherapy as a professional service provided by a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Objectives
To provide an up-to-date overview of the topic that is also understandable to people who are not experts in the field, on the quality of training and the psychotherapeutic care in Latin America.
A rigorous analysis that addresses core topic questions core topic training, accessibility, and service quality
Methodology
Gathering information from scientific articles, reports, and official documents.
Interviews with local experts (psychotherapists, researchers, trainers) and questionnaire for psychotherapists in the region to gather information about internship .
Construction of the ATLAS by converting the data a comparable format (ATLAS) and a detailed format for reporting.
Active participation by the network psychotherapists, with direct access to the results and the opportunity to share them without restrictions.
We are looking for participants
Mental health professionals (psychologists or psychiatrists) who reside in any Spanish-speaking country in Latin America.
Professionals who share their views on the state of psychotherapy in their country.
Professionals committed to improving psychotherapy in their local communities
