The Institute for Culture and Society develops interdisciplinary, transformative projects with social impact. The work of the centre is framed within consolidated research groups that deal with topics such as the care and dignity of people with advanced disease; the research and dissemination of historical and cultural heritage; the diagnosis of societies through their links and emotions; the analysis of social, political and professional discourses; the affectivity of the person from childhood to maturity; the challenges of the transition to adulthood today; the dialogue between neuroscience and philosophy to understand the human being; scientific solutions to alleviate extreme poverty; and the understanding of the role of religion and religious institutions in history and contemporary societies.
