"The study of molecules, complexes or microorganisms that favor their degradation and can be included together with fertilizers would favor their application."
How can this problem be addressed from your research area ?
The use of plastics in agriculture is common, both during cultivation and harvesting. Therefore, the study of the use of biodegradable materials (cardboard, plastics) and their effect on crops, soil fertility or their value as fertilizer would be of great interest. Similarly, the study of molecules, complexes or microorganisms that favor their degradation and can be included together with fertilizers would favor their application.
Are you participating in any project related to this issue? If not, what project would you like to implement to tackle plastic pollution?
At present, we are not involved in the topic plastics, but we do participate in soil recovery and regeneration with the use of complex molecules or microorganisms, which could include work with biodegradable plastics or ways to favor their degradation.
