International career : He has worked for the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) in Equatorial Guinea and as a biologist in Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru.
National Park Management in Africa: It has been director of emblematic protected areas such as Monte Alén Park (Equatorial Guinea), Garamba National Park (Democratic Republic of Congo) and the area from Dzanga Sangha (Central African Republic).
Conservation milestone: During his time in charge of Zakouma National Park (Chad) from 2001 to 2007, he achieved the recovery of the elephant population, going from 1500 to 3500 specimens.
