Licentiate in theology is designed to enable students a specific branch of theology in depth and to engage in theological research. The studies of licentiate degree consist of two academic years (120 ECTS credit), divided into semesters, and include the writing of the Thesis of licentiate degree and the corresponding exams of Degree. Specialisation is acquired in Biblical Theology and in Systematic Theology (orientation in Dogmatic Theology, and in Moral and Spiritual Theology).
Most of the subjects, as well as the research work that the student must carry out, are specific to each specialization program. Seminars and other work carried out under the guidance of the professors complete this training.
Languages
The studies of licentiate degree require a sufficient knowledge knowledge of Latin and, in the case of the specialisation in Biblical Theology, Greek and Hebrew.
Students who begin their studies in this Cycle must take the appropriate tests and attend, where appropriate, to the classes that are organised.
