Human Nutrition and Dietetics is the health Degree that trains professional experts in nutrition. The subjects taught at Degree aim to train those responsible for taking care of people's health through food and its role is relevant both in preventive aspects and in the treatment of different diseases.

Sports Nutrition (3 ECTS credit, 1st semester). This course focuses on the importance of nutrition for athletic performance, recovery, and injury prevention in athletes. Of interest to all dietitians and nutritionists.

Nutrition in Geriatrics (3 ECTS credit, 2ND semester). It has an assistance approach . It provides an in-depth study of the nutritional needs of the elderly, both in healthy people and those in situations of illness.

language. Studentswho wish to do so may take a language elective subject language elective subject. Studentsmay take a maximum of 3 ECTS credit language electives.

Nutritional Coaching (3 ECTS credit, 1st semester)*. The subject deals with nutritional coaching as an intervention tool oriented to behavioral change, motivation and consolidation of sustainable dietary habits over time. Its theoretical foundations, the professional competencies of the coach, the phases of the process and the use of practical tools applicable in different contexts are addressed. 

* grade: Given the eminently practical approach of this subject, which includes class activities directly related to the oral examination, it is recommended that students assess their availability to attend classes regularly, even if they take it as an elective subject. attendance and active participation in the classes is important for an adequate preparation and performance in the final assessment .

International Project in Nutrition (3 ECTS credit, 1st semester). This subject offers students an international and interdisciplinary learning experience through collaborative projects with peers from European universities. It focuses on internship problem solving in nutrition, intercultural communication and the application of evidence-based dietary strategies. The course is taught entirely in English and includes an internship part with menu planning and food preparation. To take the subject it is essential to attend the international trip organized by the School.

iDat4Life: data Intelligence in the Service of Health (3 ECTS credit, 2nd semester). This subject has as a goal totrain for a correct and efficient interpretation and communication of scientific data , addressing also relevant aspects such as the translation of results to different scenarios, and the impact of the study design .

Experimental Research (6 ECTS credit). subject internship. It consists of collaborating with aresearcher on a research project . To enroll in this subject have a transcript of 2.0 or higher. It can be completed during the summer of the 3rd year or during the 4th year. This research work research serve as the basis for the Bachelor’s Thesis. An informational session for interested students will be held in January (details will be provided through the ADI Coordination Office).

Functional foods (3 ECTS credit, 1st semester): subject which explores in depth the knowledge of those foods with beneficial properties for health.

SME Management (3 ECTS credit, 1º semester). subject of interest for those students who wish to acquire knowledge and skills in business management (enquiry dietetics, etc.). Consult calendar and special schedule (Fridays and Saturdays).

Sports supplementation and doping (3 ECTS credit, 1st semester). Professional and amateur sports internship has been accompanied by a growing interest in improving physical performance through the use of nutritional supplements and pharmacological agents. This subject proposes a rigorous and updated analysis of the main nutritional ergogenic strategies, the use of drugs with ergogenic effect and the risks of doping in sport. In addition to addressing the efficacy, safety and regulation of these interventions, critical thinking about the ethical and health impact of substance abuse in sport will be encouraged.
