The Program of training permanent in Pedagogy of Faith, offered by the high school Superior of Religious Sciences of the University of Navarra, is offered to all those interested in deepening the Education of faith as an urgent task in today's world, because there are many people who do not know God. All Christians are responsible for the transmission and Education of the faith; fathers and mothers, priests, catechists, religion teachers in schools have a special responsibility....

Knowledge is imparted about Education and didactics specific to the Catholic religion, which help to achieve an effective religious training . In addition, resources are offered for use in a variety of circumstances

These programs of study lead to the obtaining of a degree scroll of the University of Navarra, which is governed by the Organic Law of Universities 2/2023. Therefore, it does not correspond to any of the academic Degrees that are conferred according to the current ecclesiastical legislation.

Features

  • DURATION OF THE programs of study: The student can complete the programs of study in one or two academic years.

  • SUPPORT FROM TUTOR staff . Students will be accompanied by a tutor who will guide them throughout the course, guide them and provide support for any queries they may have, both by telephone and email.

  • OBTAINING THE certificate: approve all subjects (only requirement).

Methodology

Online methodology. The method of study and work are flexible and adapted to the time needs of each student, based on the assessment continuous (activities such as tests, exercises, online classes, etc.) and the final examination online.

Fundamental Moral Theology is that part of Moral Theology which, with the light of reason and faith, attempts to study in depth the foundations of the moral teachings of Christ and his Church, in order to present them in a systematic and reasoned way. This subject devotes its study precisely to these foundations, which establish the basic criteria for all the other aspects of Moral Theology.

Human intelligence, guided by God's Revelation, seeks to better understand the mysteries of God. Theology investigates these revealed mysteries in faith, with respect and love, and seeks to present them in a systematic and orderly way. In this way, thoughtful faith enters into constructive dialogue with the science and culture of each age.

This subject first examines, from a historical point of view, the relationship between the Gospels, the apostolic preaching and the life of Jesus. Then the three synoptic Gospels are studied as indebted to the apostolic preaching, and addressed to different audiences. The third part explains the most important passages of the Gospels. Finally, the book of the Acts of the Apostles is studied.

Procedures and strategies. Materials and resources for the teaching of Religion.

The process of development of personality and religiosity from its beginning to maturity. Religious and moral evolution from the age of 12 to 18. Characteristics of the religious Education of young people (between 18 and 25 years of age). The Education in the faith of adults, which is the main form of Education in the faith and the model for the catechesis of all ages.

Sister María de la Paloma Bravo

Evangelising and ecclesial sense of the teaching religious school and its teachers. Nature and legitimisation. Necessity of the religious teaching within the school and relationship with other academic subjects. Evangelisation and dialogue with culture at school. Complementarity and specificity between the teaching of the Catholic religion in school and the catechesis of the community. The pedagogical and didactic research in the school brings ideas, methods and experiences to the catechesis.

Admission

The enrollment is made by academic year according to the subjects enrolled in both semesters (September and January). The enrollment can be adapted to the subjects considered, according to their real availability for study, by each academic year.

The price of each subject is calculated according to the number of ECTS credit:

  • fees from administrative office per year: 25 Euros

March 1 begins the 2024-25 school year admission
