Pedagogy and Didactics of Religion Programme
The high school Superior of Religious Sciences organises this programme every year, according to the indications of the Commission of teaching and catechesis of the EEC; this programme is open to people who have the Degree of high school diploma or the licentiate degree in Theology and wish to obtain the DECA.
This is a specific programme of 18 ECTS credit credit of pedagogical-didactic content. To apply for the Admissions Office to this programme follow the same procedure as the rest of the students.
The Programme should be completed at academic year.
These students must attend the course at update.

This programme is made up of the following subjects, of which a total of 18 must be taken ECTS credit credit.
4 ECTS CREDIT

The originality of the Christian Education : the contents have been revealed by God; the teacher and the pupils have access to the contents through faith and intelligence; God also acts in the Church in the process of teaching-learning. This is why the Christian Education is based on the explanation of the mystery of man and the mystery of Christ, model of man.
4 ECTS CREDIT
Prof. JOSÉ LUIS PASTOR
Ideas and guidelines on how to teach the different parts of the Christian religion: the Creed, the Sacred Scripture, morals, the sacraments, the history of the Church, the spiritual life... Complementarity between the different ways of educating in the faith. Criteria for the sequencing of contents. Didactics applied to the Education of values. The assessment of learning. Procedures and strategies. Materials and resources for the teaching of Religion.
5 ECTS CREDIT
Prof. JOSÉ LUIS PASTOR
The process of development of personality and religiosity from its beginning to maturity. Religious and moral evolution from the age of 12 to 18. Characteristics of the religious Education of young people (between 18 and 25 years of age). The Education in the faith of adults, which is the main form of Education in the faith and the model for the catechesis of all ages.

Prof. JOSÉ LUIS PASTOR
Evangelising and ecclesial sense of the teaching religious school and its teachers. Nature and legitimisation. Necessity of the religious teaching within the school and relationship with other academic subjects. Evangelisation and dialogue with culture at school. Complementarity and specificity between the teaching of the Catholic religion in school and the catechesis of the community. The pedagogical and didactic research in the school brings ideas, methods and experiences to the catechesis.
