WE SEEK TO UNDERSTAND HOW BIODIVERSITY CAN BE A PILLAR IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE. FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

biodiversidad-texto-descriptivo

This area is dedicated to deepen the understanding of biodiversity and the management sustainable use of natural resources. It ranges from research on species and ecosystems, to the analysis of the impacts of climate change on biodiversity. Methods for monitoring and preserving ecosystem services, essential for human well-being, are explored. The area also promotes the development of effective conservation policies and practices, and seeks to understand how biodiversity can be a pillar in the fight against climate change and environmental degradation. The integration of emerging technologies is core topic for this goal. In addition, the relationship between biodiversity and human communities is studied.
