1. What are you working on right now?
After 6 years working as a consultant in Public Affairs agencies, I am now the Director of Institutional Relations for Glovo in Spain.
2. What do you like most about your work?
Having the ability to weave alliances with all the stakeholders that surround a company like Glovo. The professionalization of institutional relations has advanced by leaps and bounds in recent years in Spain. Transferring the position and interests of an organization to the public administration and different political parties, working to make those interests part of the discussion and ensuring that the rules and regulations benefit and do not harm the interests of the organization or group. It is an activity developed not only by companies such as the one we work for, but also by associations and NGOs.
3. What do you remember about your training at the School?
The first word that comes to my mind when I remember my training at FCOM is excellence. I remember the Public Opinion classes of Professor Manuel Martínez Algarra, the Political Communication classes of Jordi Rodríguez Virgili, the Corporate Communication classes of Elena Gutiérrez... an endless number of professors who were references in their fields of academic research and with full willingness to help students to guide their professional degree program
4. What has helped you the most in your professional career?
The seal of academic excellence of the University of Navarra financial aid me to make my way in the working world, especially during the first years of the professional degree program . I have also benefited a lot from this personalized counseling to guide my professional degree program . I started out thinking of working in advertising and PR in the agency world, but several professors awakened in me an interest in other areas such as corporate communication, political communication, public opinion, etc.
5. What committee would you give to a student who is now studying at the School?
Make the most of the years of academic training at FCOM and try out different fields of communication until you find your true vocation.
