Cornelis Bernardus Maria (Cees) van Riel is consultant and Dutch professor of Corporate Communication at the Rotterdam School of Management and Director of the Centre for Corporate Communication at Erasmus University, known for his work at area corporate communication and management reputation.

Van Riel has worked as consultant on communication strategy for a variety of companies in Europe. He is also the Chief publisher together with Charles Fombrun of Corporate Reputation Review.

It has worked on the design of model RepTrak, an tool that tracks the 23 performance indicators core topic grouped around 7 reputational dimensions that research has proven to be effective in getting stakeholders to support business.
