Marina Chinchilla Gómez
deputy director of administration of the Museo del Prado.

Graduated in Philosophy and Letters, Geography and History Division, Prehistory and Archaeology Section, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1984.

In 1989, he joined, by civil service examination, the Optional Corps of Curators of State Museums. In 1990 she began her degree program management assistant as Senior Museum Technician in the then Directorate of State Museums of the Ministry of Culture. In 1996 she was appointed Deputy Director General for the Promotion of Fine Arts of the General Administration of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Education and Culture, being manager of the organization of National and International Exhibitions.

In April 1999 she was appointed Director of the National Archaeological Museum where she initiated an action program for the institution articulated in an emergency plan and a plan for the integral renovation of the museum.

From June 2000 to January 2007 she was Deputy Director General of State Museums, where she is manager of the functions derived from the competencies attributed to this Unit management assistant. 

From January 2007 to October 2014 she was General Coordinator of Administration at the Museo Nacional del Prado, being appointed in November 2014 Deputy Director of Administration, a position she currently holds.

At the same time she has developed an activity professor in the field of Museology, having been a professor at the San Pablo University Foundation (C.E.U.) from 1990 to 1996 and participating in various Masters in Museology and Museography organized by public and private institutions, as well as directing and participating in various monographic courses, and is the author of numerous publications related to museology and cultural management .

She has been President of the association Professional of Museologists of Spain during the period from 2013 to 2017.
