Moroccan Arab: new generations and new practices in the digital age

With globalization and the rise of Digital Communication, we are witnessing rapidly changing web-mediated communication involving a wide variety of linguistic practices, audiences, communicative purposes, modes and media. Indeed, digital technology has transformed our understanding of communication, languages and linguistic varieties, as well as offering new opportunities for new generations to use multimedia resources, multimodal strategies and discourses.

The languages of congress are: Spanish, English, French and Arabic.
The VIII International Moroccan Arabic congress will focus on developments and emerging approaches and trends in the digital era. By the term 'digitization' we refer reference letter to the complex expansion of the digital domains in which languages and their varieties are managed, used and developed. Today, Digital Communication has the potential to create new opportunities and communication spaces for communities of practice of different discourses and languages.
The thematic congress of this VIII edition will seek to answer the following questions:

Thus, we invite scholars, researchers and practitioners to share their academic work, their interests and their professional vision on the use of technology in new linguistic practices in Moroccan Arabic and other local languages of Morocco, such as Amazigh and Modern Standard Arabic. This congress is an excellent opportunity to present innovative research and work combining theories, approaches and methodologies from the areas of Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Language Learning and teaching with CMC, Language Activism and Law.
During the congress various topics related to the Digital Communication in Moroccan Arabic and local languages will be discussed, among them we highlight the following:
