Lexical learning models: vocabulary and oral and written comprehension.

This research seeks to quantify the relationship between the breadth of a foreign language learner's vocabulary and their ability to understand oral and written texts.

In the medium term, we are seeking more effective strategies for teaching vocabulary in classes of, for example, English, French, German or Italian as a foreign language.

Self-management of attention, motivation and learning processes: Educational adaptations for university language learners with ADHD.

This research, in collaboration with the Faculty of Education and Psychology, aims to gather empirical evidence on possible good practices in the adaptation of materials, teaching methods, assessment tools and criteria for university students diagnosed with attention deficit and/or hyperactivity.

In the medium term, the aim is to establish protocols that may be more useful in mitigating the impact of ADHD on the academic performance and results of these students.

AI as a tool to support literary comprehension processes.

The project is based on discovery learning, a pedagogical approach that positions the student as an active participant in their own learning process. This methodology prioritizes the independent formulation of questions and the personal search for answers, generating meaningful learning that is directly linked to the student's everyday life and their intercultural sensitivity. Aimed specifically at reading comprehension of literary texts in foreign language contexts (German B1-C1 and French C1), the project seeks to transform the reading experience from a passive to an active and reflective process. The integration of artificial intelligence tools as mediators in the process of reading comprehension based on extensive reading represents the central innovation of the project.
