Last Wednesday, September 9, at the “ framework ” event of the Navarra International Film Festival (NIFF), Álvaro González García de Burgos (pictured on the left)—a professor in the Audiovisual Communication Department ( Degree ) and a member of the “ teaching ” Unit (internship )—participated in the “ roundtable ” session titled “ANOTHER WAY OF SEEING FILM: PERSPECTIVES THAT TRANSFORM THE EXPERIENCE as part of the NIFF INDUSTRY HALL section, a space for meeting and dialogue on film and culture.

The event took place at the DIARIO DE NAVARRA headquarters in Pamplona’s Old Town, alongside Julio Mazarico, director of the Filmoteca de Navarra, and Marcos Perera, director of the Navarra Tierra de Cine short film competition . At the “ discussion,” hosted by Belén Galindo, co-director of the NIFF, the discussion centered on the current saturation of images, compulsive consumption, and algorithms; the need to cultivate critical viewers; and the revival of the collective experience in movie theaters. The talk was preceded by a tasting of Las Fincas white wine, led by Iñaki Oñatevia, sales director and sommelier at Bodegas Chivite.
