Instances
The instances are the means through which any student can submit a request to the School/ University when what is requested goes beyond the ordinary procedures, and requires an action or decision by the School / University.
Applications can be submitted via management Academic (GA) from portal miUnav. Once you access GA, when you enter Instances, a drop-down menu appears with the different types of instances that can be submitted depending on which class request you want to make. There is also a generic option to be used when the person submitting the written request is not clear about the specific category in which the request falls.
The written request must clearly explain what is being requested and the reasons for the request. In the absence of any of these elements, the written request is automatically denied for lack of specificity/substantiation.
Some examples of petitions that are processed via written request are:
-
change of exam date due to overlapping with another exam
-
extension of enrollment above the maximum of ECTS credit allowed.
-
schooling waiver in a subject
-
group change in a subject
-
in general, exception in the application of a rule or of a requirement
Requests should not be used to ask questions. They should always be a clear and well-argued request that can be answered by granting or denying the request.
