Sigma - Global Nursing Excellence

TheSigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing(Sigma) is a nonprofit organization whose mission statement isto support and mentor nursing leaders in their respective fields, with the aim of helping them optimize the care they provide and improve corresponding health indicators. Founded in 1922, Sigma has more than135,000 active membersin over100 countries athigher education and health programs of study s across allfive continents.

Sigma's members includeclinical and administrative nurses, academic nurses, faculty members and researchers, and upper-level nursing students. They all work to implement Sigma's vision of building networks of nursing leaders who can transform global health care.

CHAPTER IN NAVARRA

The School of Nursing of the University of Navarra has become the first affiliate in Spain of the SIGMA Honorary Society. These affiliates, which are called chapters, have the task of disseminating and promote nursing leadership among all professionals, academics, researchers and students who are members.

As a faculty, we have made a commitment to establish our own SIGMA chapter in order to foster connections with other nursing leaders and provide our members with ample opportunities for professional development .

WHO CAN BECOME A CHAPTER MEMBER?

Anyone wishing to join the University of Navarra chapter must formally submit their application to committee , including the following documentation

Once the application has been evaluated, if it is accepted, the committee address will contact the candidate to notify him/her of the resolution. The registration fee is 100 US dollars (US$), and the annual renewal fee is 110 US dollars (US$).
