CREATIME seeks to understand human creativity by studying how we imagine and represent time. We conceive and measure time in different ways, we can live in the moment or think in huge lapses, travel in time, compress it, expand it, make it disappear... Across different cultures and modes of communication, temporality is associated with multiple expressions, purposes and emotions.

CREATIME's proposal is that we form temporal meanings with greater complexity, creativity and flexibility than we have previously thought. In order to show patterns for the construction of time in our minds, the CREATIME team goes beyond laboratory and the dictionary, and compares large data from speech oral, gesture, poetry and film.
