Science and religion
The aim of this project goal is to study, in Spanish schools, the main pedagogical problems related to the big questions involving science and religion. While this issue is increasingly present in universities, it still does not seem to be adequately addressed in schools, despite the fact that it is precisely at this stage that many students end up fixing their basic intellectual approaches to the big questions.
The project aims to map the most pressing pedagogical problems in the teaching of these issues. In this way, it aims to create new teaching narratives that favour a vision of the world where science and religion complement each other's perspectives. It plans to create a permanent group of secondary school and university teachers who will periodically discuss specific educational and scientific problems, while developing new materials for interdisciplinary science and religion courses in schools.
This initiative is open to any high school who wishes to improve the training of their students in the knowledge of the relationship between science and religion. It aims to change, in the medium term deadline, the general perception of the relationship between science and religion in the Spanish-speaking world by addressing the problems at their educational roots.
