The"International Symposium. Sustainability in the tourism sector: implementation and communication" aims to be a place for meeting between institutions, organisations, professionals and academics to analyse the current status of sustainability in the tourism sector and the keys to greater sustainability in the future.
Participants are encouraged to present theoretical reflections, empirical results or practical and didactic experiences in the fields of management and development of sustainable business and its communication. The organisers consider that the plurality of perspectives and methods, as well as the exchange of experiences and reflections from different areas (engineering, architecture, social sciences, law, linguistics or marketing, to name a few), are essential to ensure the advancement of sustainability both at the theoretical level and in its application internship.
The symposium is organized by Tecnun-Escuela de Ingeniería of the University of Navarra and the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra, in the framework of the project "KiNESIS: Alliances of knowledge for social innovation in the face of depopulation".

→ What multimodal content and communication strategies articulate economic, social and environmental commitment to connect with different stakeholders?
→ How does multimodality appear in the speech of sustainability in the tourism sector?
→ How can tourism contribute to equal opportunities and women's empowerment (SDG 5)?
→ How to generate value in tourism through inclusive work ?
→ How does tourism contribute to local entrepreneurship and development in rural areas?
→ How is ecotourism experienced today, how is it perceived by different actors?
→ How are the different actors linked to gastronomy made aware of the benefits of incorporating the vision of sustainable development into their activity?
→ What good practices are being developed in gastronomic tourism?
→ How is sustainability being promoted in the hotel sector?
