Message from the Dean
Welcome to the School of Science the University of Navarra,
Since October 1958, when the School of Science was founded, our goal been to train educators and researchers with a strong sense of professional commitment who conduct research , meaningful research that serves people and society in the fields of experimental, biomedical, and environmental sciences.
In this website you will find information about who we are, our programs of study, the research we do and our main activities. We pursue excellence in training in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry biomedicine pathway), with innovative proposals such as the double Degrees in Biochemistry and Biology-Environmental Sciences, the specialization diplomas, taking advantage of the interdisciplinary scope of our University, and the most recent international diplomas: International Science Program, Environment and Landscapes Program, Science and Business Program and Data Science Program.
The teaching our students receive is based on solid and consolidated research, with Master's Degree and doctorate programs in the areas of animal and plant biodiversity and environmental management , biomedical research , applied Chemistry or complex systems.
We work so that our offer reaches more and more students from other countries, has more foreign professors and incorporates bilingualism in teaching. Intense relations with centers and universities in Europe, America and Asia allow students and researchers to carry out stays and exchange programs in centers of international prestige.
The University is located in Navarra, one of Europe’s regions with the greatest biological diversity and variety of landscapes and ecosystems. The School of Science situated in an area of campus dedicated specifically to the experimental, health, and environmental sciences, where we work closely with the other Schools research centers. Our mission statement to contribute to solving the challenges that threaten humanity; therefore, the faculty’s professors and researchers carry out research projects research at promote human and environmental promote , in line with the One Health strategy, which establishes that human, animal, and environmental health are three inseparable elements. These same professionals make up the professor teaches students in the various Degrees.
All this allows us to offer an eminently training internship , which is completed with an extensive internship opportunities and employment opportunities to promote and materialize the professional development of the students.
Sometimes, what is most valuable cannot be reduced to numbers or indicators: the enthusiasm to work better every day, the mutual learning between teachers and students, the passion that can be felt in the classrooms and laboratories, the demanding but friendly atmosphere of work , the support and the availability to advance in development staff and professional, or the ease of communicating, sharing and working together. We are committed to an interdisciplinary environment, in a globalized and international environment, with a marked interest in scientific research and increasingly close and fruitful relations with industry.
